The American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) has added Nutramax Laboratories, Inc., a Maryland-based company that develops and researches products to enhance the wellness of humans and animals, to its Educational Partner Program.

The Educational Partnership program is now a group of eleven corporations dedicated to providing resources and education through the AAEP to veterinarians and horse owners to improve the health and welfare of the horse.

Nutramax Laboratories, Inc., is a private company founded in Maryland in 1992 that employs more than 250 people and offers products to customers in over 40 countries.  Nutramax Laboratories, Inc. researches, develops and markets high-quality products to support the active lifestyles of people and animals. “As a leader in the nutritional supplement industry, we are excited to enter into this partnership and look forward to working with the AAEP and its members, staff, Executive Committee and board members.” said Todd Henderson, DVM, president and CEO of Nutramax Laboratories, Inc. “We look forward to further developing our relationship with the equine veterinarian and extending our educational efforts to the equine industry.”

In addition to promoting education, Nutramax Laboratories, Inc. supports numerous associations, organizations and charitable foundations that enhance the lives of both people and their animal - in their own community and throughout the country.

Nutramax Laboratories, Inc. is a leader in providing equine products that support joint and bone health, digestive health and overall wellness.  Some of their equine products include:  Cosequin®, Calxequin®, Proviable®-EQ and Welactin® Equine.

“It is rewarding to have a company of Nutramax Laboratories’ excellence interested in promoting the importance of equine health care,” says William Moyer, DVM, AAEP’s 2011 president. “We look forward to working together to benefit the continuing education of equine practitioners and horse owners for the health of the horse.”
